Klaserie Dam
Klaserie Dam is situated in the north Mpumalanga Province and has the best track record for producing big fish of any angling venue anywhere in South Africa... it holds the current South African record for a carp, standing at 64lb caught in 2001. There have been over 60 recorded captures of 50lb+ fish. Klaserie certainly holds its fair share of big fish - but this is no stock pond and you'll have to work hard if you want to reap the rewards it can offer.
Klaserie offers a fantastic carp fishing experience - a first class adventure carp fishing trip in one of Africa's greatest tourist destinations with it's stunning wildlife and breathtaking backdrops... it will more than fulfil your wildest dreams of Africa and African carping.
When you arrive at Klaserie all your tackle & pre-ordered bait will be ready & waiting for you. All meals are included & are well prepared for you at the camp by the cook. You will enjoy not only the food but the whole experience of fishing this challenging water.
On the return trip, we'll stop off at a local craft market for souvenirs, the prices in South Africa are very cheap so very little in the way of spending money is required.
No account of Klaserie would be complete without a mention of the night-time
skies - the Milky Way will dazzle you with its brightness and complexity. The base camp is probably as far from the city lights as you will ever journey and is the ideal setting for an African campfire dinner. Listen out for the distant roar of lions and the laughter of hyena! |
